Animal Encounters for Children In Need
Published: 15th Nov 2019
Inspired by all the lovely children he meets, Whitehill’s favourite animal man, Chris Johnson and his collection of beautiful exotic animals volunteered their services for a special drop-in 'Animal Encounter' supporting BBC's Children in Need on Friday 15th November.
With snakes and cakes, we all had a fantastic afternoon meeting the animals, including Hump the Tortoise and Rango the Chameleon, and raised £167 for this fantastic charity! Since 1927 Children in Need has been supporting projects to changing the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK and this year's Appeal Nights raised an amazing £47,886,382.
Thank you to Chris and his animals and to everyone who joined us. Chris will be back with his hugely popular Animal Encounter activity in 2020 - see you then!
