Covid-19 Update | December 2020
Published: 22nd Dec 2020
Devon, including our local area of Torbay, remain under Tier 2 Covid-19 Restrictions.
The current government advice to people in Tiers 1, 2 and 3 is to stay local and avoid travelling outside of your local area, meaning your village or town, or part of a city, where possible. Click here for Government Travel Guidance
If you live in a Tier 1 or 2 Area, you can still travel within Tier 2 areas to hotels and other guest accommodation. Our Lodges remain open until 9th January 2021, closing as scheduled until 10th February 2021.
When travelling please ensure:
- Only travel and stay overnight with people within your household or support bubble.
- No Household Mixing indoors - you must not socialise with anyone you do not live with or who is not in your support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home, inside holiday accommodation or in a public place.
- Rule of 6 Outdoors - you must not socialise in a group of more than 6 people outside, including in a garden or a public space.
- If any of your household or party are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 (Coronavirus) or have been told to self-isolate, you must not travel.
- You can continue to travel to venues or amenities which are open but should aim to reduce the number of journeys you make where possible.
If you live in a Tier 3 Area, you should still avoid travelling outside your tier 3 area to other parts of the UK for overnight stays unless this is for work, education, youth services, to receive medical treatment, or because of caring responsibilities.
If you live in a Tier 4 Area, you must not leave your home unless you have a reasonable excuse (e.g. for work or education purposes).
Christmas 2020
Guests from Tiers 1, 2 and 3 can travel to holiday parks and campsites in Tiers 1 and 2 for Christmas reasons between 24 and 26 December. Read Christmas Guidance
