Covid-19 Update | Tiers After Lockdown 2
Published: 27th Nov 2020
The government have announced that all of Devon, including Torbay, will be in Tier 2 of the local COVID restrictions following the end of the National Lockdown on 2nd December 2020.
These restrictions are expected to be in place until at least 16th December 2020.
What does this mean?
- Good News - our Lodge accommodation can re-open from 2nd December 2020.
- Overnight stays with your household or support bubble are permitted for people living in areas currently under Tier 1 and Tier 2 restrictions.
- You can continue to travel to venues or amenities which are open but should aim to reduce the number of journeys you make where possible.
However, please be aware:
- No Household Mixing Indoors - you must not socialise with anyone you do not live with or who is not in your support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home, inside holiday accommodation or in a public place.
- Rule of 6 Outdoors - you must not socialise in a group of more than 6 people outside, including in a garden or a public space.
If you live in a Tier 3 Area:
It is strongly recommended that people living in areas currently under the Tier 3 restrictions avoid travelling to other parts of the UK for overnight stays (unless this is for work, education, youth services, to receive medical treatment, or because of caring responsibilities).
If you live in a Tier 3 Area and have a booking with us between 2nd-16th December 2020, please contact us as soon as you can and we can run you through the options available.

As usual over the winter months, our onsite facilities will remain closed as scheduled until 29th March 2021. If you are visiting our local restaurants and shops, please be aware:
- Businesses and venues can continue to operate, in a COVID-Secure manner, other than those which remain closed by law, such as nightclubs
- Hospitality venues can only serve alcohol with substantial meals, so unless operating as restaurants, pubs and bars will be closed.
- Hospitality businesses selling food or drink for consumption on their premises are required to:
- provide table service only, in premises which sell alcohol
- stop taking orders after 10pm and close at 11pm (except for delivery service, click and collect and drive-throughs)
